Abidal sent off when Anelka obviously dived.  should have been yellow for Anelka but Abidal took the fall.  then undoubtedly a penalty for Chelsea in the dying moments which would have sent Chelsea to Rome, but ref made another mistake.  this time it wasn't one that cost a player a spot in the finals.  it was a mistake that cost a whole team a chance to appear in the finals.

i thought Ballack and Terry over reacted, but looking at the replays, another bad decision by another ref.
