work today was... interesting.
apparently it was some innovative way of promoting an event, which basically meant giving out flyers. but of course, OCBC won't come up with such a banal method of promotion, so we had to explain about the event. but more the more interesting thing would be the people working with me. they included 2 chinese (singaporean) girls who were rather... normal, 2 malay girls who couldn't speak a word of malay but could speak chinese more fluently than some of us chinese, and the indispensible chinese-mat, a chinese (singaporean) fella in skinny jeans and sulken, emo look.
way of promoting event? drag bikes around the OCBC centre, give out flyers and basically stand out like a sore thumb and look like absolute retards. of course there was the usual high-sounding names, terming us as "cycling ambassadors". yeah right, we were the flyer boys and girls. and have you tried dragging bikes through 17 storeys? and through the narrow passageways that some people term "office aisles".
an experience? oh yeah it was. first job of my life and it wasn't too bad. quite slack actually. finished at 3.30pm and headed home, 2 hour lunch breaks. not bad at all. and the best part about all of it has to be told when i get my pay tomorrow (:
