Let me tell you more about the sermon from Louie Giglio that really changed my life. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, 31 but those who hope in the LORD
This is the M51 or the whirlpool galaxy astronomers call it the "darling of astronomy."
Two things about this galaxy in the deep reaches of space.
1.) Every second there are new stars being bored. Millions of star incubators are found within the whirlpool galaxy.
2.) Not only that, but at the center of this galaxy is a black hole which the Hubble Space Telescope took a picture of. check it out.
isn't that a Cross? i assure you this is a picture taken from the Hubble Space Telescope website. it is not altered. and there it is the splendor of God in all its majesty. awesome isn't it. an imprint of God in the universe. and this just brings to mind in Psalm 19 where the Psalmist says "the Heavens declare the glory of God". how majestic.
indeed the entire universe displays God's fingerprint and you know, the cross of Jesus was on the mind of God even as He was creating the universe.
then Louie Giglio continued in the universe focusing on the stars with the purpose of showing us just how small we are and how big God is.
how often we just blow ourselves up and just diminish God. we ask Him to do this for us, we tell Him how He should help us.
but you know, we serve a big God
Louie gives an example of earth was a golf ball...
If earth was a golf ball, the sun would be 15 feet in diameter
Another star would be the equivalent of 6 empire state buildings
And yet another, 2 golden gate bridges
we are so small. yet it says in Isaiah 40: 29-31
29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
and young men stumble and fall;
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
this is a God that created everything by word. He said in Genesis "let there be light", and there was light. He created stars from His breath, mountains and seas were shaped at His very command. yet He fashioned Humans from the dust, breathing life into them. He did not say let there be Humans. He reached down, and fashioned us with His hands, in His image. and He promises us that He will provide us with strength when we are weary. He will take us by His hand and carry us.
and this is the God who created the heavens and the earth just whispering to you "let me carry you". how awesome.
but what struck me the most was this.
laminin.
every living creature has laminin inside of them, and the purpose of laminin is that it basically keeps our bodies from falling apart. It holds we as one united whole. it's kinda like like a glue that holds us together to keep our body together.

This is Laminin
and isn't that a cross?
there are millions, if not billions of laminin in your body, holding you together. and each is in the shape of the very thing that Jesus came to earth to die on.
to die for your sins.
it is Jesus' imprint in you. God imprinted the cross into your body when you were born.
and i am just so filled with awe whenever i see this.
my friends this is not a coincidence. it is no coincidence that the black hole in M51 is the shape of a cross, and it is no coincidence that laminin, the most important part of the human body is in the shape of a cross.
this is Jesus telling you that "i am watching and guiding you from above, and holding you together on earth, holding you together from the inside." it's God telling you, "let me lift you up. let me guide you".
how awesome is our creator King.
and once again, all praise, honor and glory be unto His name.
