was going through a bit of history test today. didn't get back the paper, but the model essay that we went through really gave me a glimpse of my potential score. or lack thereof
the question was: "How did the perspectives and policies of the two superpowers lead to the rise of the Cold War" or something like that.
anyway this was what happened
we were going through the intro. and apparently the introduction of the model essay had this background information of the Cold War, which i did not have in my essay.
ouch.
History 1 - 0 Bryan
i didn't do a thesis statement as well cause i kinda didn't know my stand, and wanted to write it after i finished my essay. but after finishing my essay, i forgot to go back to the intro to write the statement.
History 2 - 0 Bryan
i realised that each of my topic sentence did not have a link back to the question. and this was the same for each of my 4 paragraphs.
quadruple ouch.
History 6 - 0 Bryan
i also realised that i lacked the substantial elaboration that was present in the model essay
History 7 - 0 Bryan
however, on a lighter note, i did have much better analysis than the model essay
Final score History 7 - 1 Bryan
(near) FLAWLESS VICTORY
surprisingly similar to the Man Utd 7 - 1 Roma score.
i need to buck up on my history.
