i had a bad day but you know, each day, even though it may seem bad, there are these bright moments that just light up your day. maybe just for that while, but there is always bound to be a good moment within a bad day.

i joined a prayer group in school. it's this wonderful avenue for us Christians to pray together, for each other, for the school and all that. and i thank God for this group. it is because of this group that i can just start the morning, some mornings that is, praying. and what better way than to start a morning with prayer.

today was good because of a passage shared. it's a passage i know, and can quote, but it's just revisiting the passage that gives me the encouragement that the passage always gives me. this passage never fails to encourage me.

1 Corinthians 10: 12-13 (NKJV)

12 Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. 13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it

the passage talks about temptation.

in verses 6-10, Paul talks about the various temptations that we as humans would inevitably face.

1 Corinthians 10: 6-11 (NKJV)

6
Now these things became our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted. 7 And do not become idolaters as were some of them. As it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.”[a] 8 Nor let us commit sexual immorality, as some of them did, and in one day twenty-three thousand fell; 9 nor let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed by serpents; 10 nor complain, as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer. 11 Now all[b] these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.

however, the encouragement that we have can be seen in verses 12-13 as seen above, where Paul tells us that we must stand firm in the face of temptation, and that though we may be tempted, God will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can take, and that He will always give us a way to stand up under it.

i know this blog is viewed by both my brothers and sisters in Christ, as well as others who may not be Christians. but i hope that this verse would just be able to be an encouragement to all out there who may face temptations, because temptations is an inevitable part of life, be it the temptation to sleep instead of doing out work, or to sleep instead of doing QT.

well this verse has always been an encouragement to me, and hopefully, to all of you who read it.

God bless
