so today was kinda hilarious, especially with the history prelim that no one prepared for. there was widespread smoking, myself included, in a blind attempt to pass the test.
an example of the hilarious script i handed in. topic was on Suharto and his indonesian regime and why it fell after the asian financial crisis in 1997. note. i did not study at all
"Suharto's regime failed after the AFC in 1997. this showed the incompetency of the indonesian government. it exposed the inherent flaws in the system. according to Sukma, there was widespread unemployment (untrue) and there was also widespread poverty (to a small extent yes) and this had led to resentment on the part of the Indonesian people. this undermined the authority and credibility of Suharto's regime and resulted in a drop in support for him. due to Suharto's poor handling of the nation, people were disillusioned with the system. thus Suharto's regime failed.
another reason for the failure is the exploitation of natural resources by the central government. due to vested interests, there was an exploitation of natural resources by the government to boost the country's economy. this was done at the expense of others (bulls***!). a case in point was Aceh, which had an abundance of natural resources (i have no idea what resource) . the resources were taken by the government. although it resulted in a boom in the Indonesian economy (yeah right) Aceh was ironically one of the poorer regions in Indonesia (duh)."
seriously. what kind of crap is that. i give myself 0. zero! nada. ziltch.
but i must say, not bad for someone who didn't study at all. not bad at throwing smoke at all.
