ok. the 9th of August is coming soon. for those who do not know, it's National Day. however, it is also the opening day of Rush Hour 3. so i was wondering whether to watch the National Day Parade on TV (on the new floating platform), or go watch Rush Hour 3.
i'm thinking that i am going to watch Rush Hour 3.
you know the Bible says to flee from temptation? the NDP is a hell of a temptation. i should really flee from it and do what all people will be doing on the 9th of August. watch Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan. especially Chris Tucker. hilarious fool
anyways. i have decided that posting lyrics on the blog is a total waste of space and time. i mean, if the person reason does not know how the song sounds like, how is he/she going to appreciate the song? so i will rely on new technology and do as i have done yesterday. post a Youtube video. that way, you can see, hear and understand the song. it's killing three chickens with one swing of an axe.
and if you have read the newspaper today, IF you have read, you would have seen on the Saturday section the one on the EPL breaking new records for spending too much money on too few players.
so far, those overly rich clubs have been spending a total of 322 million pounds so far. thats like S$990 million. and here's the catch. they are spending our money. television rights deals that is. all the people subscribing to SCV are well, indirectly funding their spending spree so that we can watch better football.
but wait! if we are funding them, why are they buying so lousy players? let me look at those who are, well, doomed to fail.
Chelsea has spent 13.5 million pounds on Florent Malouda. that guy is like 110 years old! why buy him for a left winger? i mean, there are people like Nani! oops. He got taken by Man Utd. and Chelsea has also spent nothing and gotten a bunch of free transfers. so far, the only decent thing they got is Alex. central defender. what are they gonna do, replace Terry? sheesh. Chelsea had just spent our money to buy crap players. they ain't gonna win this season. and i'm not saying this just cause i hate them.
Portsmouth has spent 21.9 million pounds on a bunch of unknowns. they are real resilient in keeping their mid table rank aren't they?
Arsenal has spent money on Eduador de Silva. the rest are some unknowns for now. considering they had just lost Henry, i'd say Tottenham would take their space in the top 4.
Liverpool....... Fernando Torres?! 20.2mil pounds? 3 words. Waste. Of. Money.
so it seems that only Man Utd and Tottenham have made rather good purchases. probably cause they are the teams i'm supporting. in that order of course.
that's why i say: Man Utd Treble!
