what with numbers in movies?
of course there is the movie 300, where soldiers prepare for glory. well, if you do watch the movie, prepare for gory. i haven't seen it. yet. i'll probably see it in say 2 years time on a dvd if dvds still exist 2 years later. anyway. 300, from what i heard is about 300 Spartans defending, well, Sparta against this huge Persian army that will probably slaughter them in say, 300 seconds. of course, the movie isn't like that or it will be only 300 seconds long and it will probably only earn 300 dollars and director will probably get mobbed by 300 angry viewers and they will probably demolish his car into 300 mini parts.
so i'm guessing the 300 soldiers used some tactics to defend Persia. but of course, even Confucius with 300 soldiers cannot defend himself if confronted with an army. no matter how confusing he is, he will not be able to confuse the enemy or kill them with fortune cookies. so well, it is inevitable that the 300 soldiers die. and that is probably the ending of the movie. and that's what i heard. bummer. prepare for glory my ass. more like prepare for a gory death.
of course, there is the rubber faced Jim Carrey starring in a movie about numbers. again. The Number 23. just like film makers nowadays, he plays a psycho obsessed with a number. and the title says it all. i don't see what's the big deal about 23. maybe cause 2 + 3 is 5 and 2 X 3 is 6. and 6 is 1 bigger than 5. or maybe it's some random thing. or maybe cause Jim Carrey's character is obsessed with David Beckham, whose jersey number is well, 23.
whatever it is, the bigger the number, the better. go watch 300. don't watch Number 23. why?
